I smelled an amazing bottle of cow butter CO2 absolute years ago which perfectly concentrated that funky animal accord in dairy products.

Why are you so against vanilla absolute? Any boozy dark sniff of vanilla pods or extract will make it very clear ethyl vanillin is no substitute.

That is a CO2 extract I need to get my nose across! I'm not opposed to all vanilla in perfume, but it's one of those notes I think needs to handled a lot more ethically than it is currently with fair trade certifications etc.

Gaaaaah! I almost vomited in excitement. This is the first I’ve heard of a new Eris release. Very much anticipating that.

Need to refer to this every time I smell something new, "your nose knows what you like whereas your brain is prone to bias". Genius. The wit, insight, and viscerality of your writing is addictive. Can't wait to read more.

I had a grand time today reading all of your posts!

I live in Seattle, Washington and met Ellen Covey at the Blackbird store when her Blackbird perfume was released. I bought a bottle - haven’t worn the perfume in a few years. Coincidentally, this past weekend I wore it and loved it.

Today was her Ballets Rouge. Tomorrow will be Dev #4.

Your posts have got me digging through my

perfume full-bottle cabinet and the sample drawer revisiting perfumes I haven’t worn in a long while.

Thank you!

I love perfume ❤️
