Have you tried Pineward fragrances? They are abundant in all manner of bog/ field/ loam/ forrest inspired perfumes and as their name suggests - pine is central in all possible declinations
Adore Pineward Perfume, and their revival of Apoteker Tepe. The owner of the brand released a guide/database of coniferous fragrances that is such a joy to read if you're a real lover of the genre as I am!
I love Fille en Aiguille and love fairy tales, maybe that’s why this scent speaks to me! To me, it smells less like a forest itself and more like a forest creature, one that’s soaked up all the damp leaves and flowers. It’s like everything’s been steeping in a puddle: rich, dark and strangely beautiful. I know it might not sound appealing but this is a compliment!
Did you ever think of scratching that nostalgic itch by really going into it and practicing magic? Thank you for sharing your thoughts with so much talent! 💖
Oh yes, Slumberhouse is to perfume obsessives what small batch IPAs are to beer fanatics, and I attempt to keep a wide berth from lovers of both. I have smelled Norne, maybe ten years ago, and I love its pine accord but I think it suffers from being all base notes. It is certainly a fantastical perfume, though - it's always reminded me of Ralph Bakshi's Lord of the Rings, for some reason.
There are plenty going, happily! Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab are usually always good for an oil inspired by mythological figures - their Baba Yaga is a huge patchouli thing. Fantome has a Baba Yaga I'm yet to smell. Cecile Zerokian made a Baba Yaga for Suleko, and Sixteen92 has a weird, funky herbal Baba Yaga as well.
Ormonde woman was the first I thought of one of my great loves. The other is Mitsouko the most temperantal of perfumes: you have to have the right day, often rainy, sometimes autumn. With all the Tik Tok and influencer noise and tap I worry these difficult beauties that speak to introverts and lovers of myth and fable will die

I know that guide well - what a great idea by the owner!

I really dislike the culture that's grown around the brand, but have you ever tried Slumberhouse? Norne or Sova really seem up your alley!

I’d be interested to know which perfume is inspired by Baba Yaga!

Mossy Gown- Providence Perfumes.
And Enchanted Forest, a Duchaufour creation from Vagabond.
